Suz, that’s funny that you say that, because I do the exact same thing! In fact, that includes my all time favorite book and author to this day! I hated the book at first, couldn’t get past the first chapter. Tried a few months later and as I said, is now my absolute favorite series and author! It’s strange how that works.

Thank you so very much for your kind words about my books – that’s exactly how I feel about reading as well. I don’t want light fluff all the time, but something to keep me guessing. There have been books that I have read from an author that I follow that just doesn’t do it for me. I have found that if I put these books to the side and read them months later I usually come away with “why did I struggle with this the first time”?
Your writing style is what I love about you, please don’t change. I’ve quit reading famous authors because they no longer took the time to keep the intrigue going, instead they made it too obvious and I was no longer able to use my own brain and imagination.
I have read the first 3 books in the series (just learned there is a 4th) and have loved the subjects and styles.
There are books and authors out there for everyone, just don’t let some responses change what you read or how you write.
My life would be totally different if I didn’t have books to read each day, they are my escape but I also don’t want light fluff that doesn’t make me think.
But that’s just my opinion.
