I know, I know…it’s been forever since I’ve posted anything. Life had thrown me a curveball last year and I’ve been recovering ever since. To name a few, I had lost my 13-year job to the company’s low-cost center overseas on the same day that my grandmother passed away. Family issues wreaked havoc on my creativity, and my motivation to write or do anything socially online dropped to about zero.

I hate that I’ve neglected my readers and friends, and I want to sincerely apologize for that from the bottom of my heart. I’ve been trying my best to get back into the swing of things. I took a full-time Graphic Design position last year at a local company in addition to starting my own business on the side that pretty much made it impossible for me to get any writing done, however, I DID actually start on a new book that I’ve had in my heart for many years.

The title is “Untying Knots” and will be a New Adult Contemporary Romance read. It’s something that I’ve wanted to write about since even before I started on my Sweet Series, but I’ve kept it on the back burner. Finally early last year I sat down and started it. Actually, it’s been a year since! Wow, that’s hard to believe. I’m not comfortable providing any snippets, or even a synopsis just yet, so I’m just going to leave you with that!! Just know it’s going to be emotional but happy…I hope! My goal is to get it published by the end of the year. *crosses fingers* We’ll see!

Another thing that’s new with me is that I’ve moved out of Florida to temporarily visit with my family in Arizona. My husband and I are moving to Colorado in April, so in the meantime, we’re living in my aunt and uncle’s casita, which is like a small apartment attached to their house. It has a kitchen, bathroom, and separate entrance and everything we need to be self-sufficient. It was built for my grandmother, but she never got to live in it before she died. So far, we are loving the beautiful, dry, cooler weather here in Arizona, but we’re looking forward to living in Colorado when the time comes. As you should know, I’m originally from Illinois, but have been away for 9 years. I’ve been CRAVING the different seasons and cooler weather that I’ve grown up with, and Colorado has the perfect combination that my husband and I desire. Plus, we’re dying to do more outdoorsy stuff that we couldn’t do in Florida because of it being too hot and humid. We love to snowboard, hike, and camp. We’re so excited!

Being that I am currently in Paris, France, I thought I’d talk about one of my favorite fairy tales of all time – Beauty and the Beast. Disney movies have always been a huge part of my life, but I recently watched a version that was a re-telling of this oh-so beautiful story. I have been trying to learn French in preparation for my month long stay in Paris, and I found this version of Beauty and the Beast during my search for French movies to help me with the language. It is called: La Belle et la Bete

The beginning of this movie starts off so beautifully, I was mesmerized by the sounds, the warm softness of the lighting in the scenes, and the voice of the woman speaking. It was the most perfect beginning to a fairy tale I had ever seen. The film that followed was interesting and magical, and definitely a different twist on the familiar version we might have grown up with as children, but I really appreciated the concepts portrayed in this version. I won’t go into detail, since it would completely spoil it…but even if you don’t know French, I highly recommend this movie!

These paperbacks are all ones that were either poorly printed (as in the covers didn’t turn out correctly so are either too dark, or the edges weren’t cut right), first editions (bad editing), or proof copies (the proof copy is what I get from the printer as an example. I then have to approve or reject the book. It’s still the COMPLETE book, the only difference is it says “PROOF” in the very back).

Please do not judge the books for any of the above reasons in your reviews, since all of the issues I just mentioned have since been resolved or fixed, and mentioning it in your review would be irrelevant. Reviews are meant to help other customers who haven’t read the books yet decide if they want to give them a try. These are old paperbacks that I haven’t been able to do anything with and have long since been revised, so if you mention one of the above issues, potential customers won’t have any idea what you’re talking about since they won’t be there for them. But the story is the EXACT same and still intact…that’s the only thing I’m asking to be judged when it comes to these particular paperbacks. The story.

Therefore, my only stipulation is that if you are able to read the book just for the STORY alone, and not for the cover, editing, etc…then please consider taking up this offer. Like I said, I have 23 books which broken down is this:
